Dr. Abbey "BeBe" Askew is a former educator who creates children's books that support young readers in navigating big feelings, making thoughtful choices, and using their voices with confidence. Most of all, the books are fun!

She is the creator of the I'm Auree™ series, which centers joyful, culturally grounded stories that reflect the warmth, humor, and everyday moments of real family life. Her work blends heart, humor, and intention to model positive parenting, accountability, and growth in ways that feel natural and affirming. She writes stories that remind children and families that growth happens through love, guidance, and grace.

In addition to her work in education and children's literature, she loves spending time with her children and grandchildren. She believes that little voices matter and that even the smallest words can have a big impact.
